Title: Stupid Exercises
Description: ...which are useful

I'd like you to post some. Two exemples:

1. Try to improvise slowly and phrasing without using you 1st finger. Do whatever you want, but avoid using it. It will be really hard the first time, but surely you will find some ideas for your phrasings and even fingerings.

2. Improvise and try to sing what you're pllaying, just like J.Benson. It is not as easy as it seems since you must sing the same note you're playing, even if you're playing a little fast.

Playing guitar is very difficult. I think it's good being open-minded when practising.

Shawn Lane mastered singing the same pitch as he was playing on the guitar.

Another exercise is trying to play at the slowest tempo ever.
It's harder than you thought and really frustrating since humans tends to do things moderately fast.

That's because playing in tempo means to foretell or, even more accurately, guess when the next beat will come. The fewer the beats between a specific time, the harder it becomes to hit them correctly.

Playing extremely slow is actually one method of practice that Guthrie Govan advises to do.

Yeah, true.

One thing to test how good you are at improvising is improvising over Coltrane changes. I'm still trying to understand the concept.
